How scores work

A fair score for every flight.

The Fllike score is a weighted average of four ratings out of 10. The weights change with the type of flight, so a great short flight isn’t marked down for having no screens. It’s simple, open arithmetic.

1. You rate four things

Each rating runs from 1 to 10, in half points.

CategoryWhat it coversCan be skipped?
ComfortSeat, space, cleanlinessNo
Crew & ServiceWelcome, helpfulness, careNo
Food & DrinkMeals, snacks, drinksYes: “None on board”
Inflight TechScreens, Wi-Fi, powerYes: “None on board”

2. Fllike works out the flight type

You never choose it. Fllike works it out from the flight’s length and your cabin.

3. “None on board” never counts against a flight

If Food or Tech is marked “None on board”, its weight is shared out among the other categories in proportion. On a shorter flight with no tech, the split becomes Comfort 56%, Crew & Service 33% and Food 11%.

4. The grade

  • Greatabove 8.5
  • Good7.1 to 8.5
  • Average5.6 to 7.0
  • Poor5.5 and below

Worked examples

FlightComfort / Service / Food / TechScore
London to Singapore, Business, 13 hours9 / 9.5 / 8 / 88.8 Great
Gatwick to Edinburgh, 1 hour 207 / 8.5 / none / none7.6 Good
The same flight, if “no tech” had to be rated 17 / 8.5 / none / 16.8 Average

The last row shows the problem Fllike solves: a friendly, punctual short flight shouldn’t lose a grade for something it never offered.

Airline scores

  • Every flight is checked against real flight data. Only verified flights count towards an airline’s public score.
  • An airline needs five verified ratings before it’s ranked.
  • There’s no paid placement. Airlines can’t buy a better score or a higher spot.
